Day 11 - Sunday 9/24/2017 - Travel Back to Calgary and Fly Home

We woke up, finished packing, and was on the road for Calgary by 9:00 AM. Scott needed to be at the airport by 10:30 AM for his flight home (which connected through Houston to Fayetteville). The drive out was fun as the clouds were up and we could enjoy the mountains we missed on our drive in 10 days before. We got Scott to the airport and then headed downtown back to MEC to get me a beanie and to kill time. Emily got her one last London Fogg at the food truck outside MEC.

We then went to a Canadian Brewhouse on the north side of town near the airport to watch the noon NFL games and get lunch. It was a perfect location to kill time on a Sunday since every NFL game was on a tv there and they had a good appetizer and beer menu. We killed about 3.5 hrs there. We returned the car got to the airport by 3:30 PM or so for our 6:25 flight back to Houston (wished we had gotten on Scotts 1:20 PM flight). Our flight was on time and uneventful though I was a little unimpressed with Air Canada. Wasn’t bad, just wasn’t any better than United like we were told to expect. It was a nice flight though, arriving at IAH at little after 11:00 PM. By the time we got to the truck and back to the house it was a little after 1:00 AM which made for an early morning the next day at work, but completely worth it!
Safe Travels,
