Alaskan Cruise

And now it was time to turn the ship and head back south to Seattle. Day 6 was a Sea Day and really most of Day 7 was a Sea Day as well with us not getting to Victoria, BC until 7:00pm.

After another full day at sea, we arrived in Victoria that evening. We went up the back part of the ship to watch us back into the slip. A shuttle was there to take passengers to downtown Victoria for a small fee so we went into town. The downtown area has a good number of street performers on the lawn of the historic hotel Fairmont Empress. They were a lot of fun to watch. There was also a bunch of classic muscle cars on the streets there. After relaxing on the lawn, we headed back to the Star Princess in the dark. We finished packing our room up and went to sleep for the last night.

Victoria, BC is basically across the harbor from Seattle so by the time we woke up, the Star Princess was already docked and we were allowed to depart. We had booked a tour of Seattle through the cruise line. The tour was to take us to the Space Needle and Pikes Market, as well as driving us through some of the scenic parts of the city before taking us to the airport.

The trip up the Space Needle is something everyone should do if given the chance, though you are up in the air on its observation deck! Pikes Market was a great experience as well and we grabbed lunch there. We also had to see the original Star Bucks!

All too soon we were in the bus driving through the city and ending up back at the airport for our 6:22pm flight back to Houston. Ending what was a very memorable Honeymoon!
