We woke up about 6:30am or so, the normal now. My sister and the kid were really getting into this duck hunting so they went out about 6:45 to hunt a bit and then meet us at breakfast at Windjammer around 7:30. Today, we were at Royal Caribbean's private island of CocoCay. While the two of them duck hunted, I chilled at our balcony and watched us approach, turn and then back into the pier there at CocoCay. The Icon of the Seas was already in port so we got to ooo and ahhh at her as we came in again. It seems that she followed us (or we followed her?) from Cozumel. She was on a 7 day itinerary and apparently the back 2/3 of it matched ours!

LT was already ready to go from our breakfast but the other 4 of us needed to run by the room so they got off first and ended up grabbing us some loungers by the main pool, Oasis Lagoon. We quickly followed and got to the Lagoon 10 minutes or so after them and setup in the chairs.

Now, the island is beautiful and has several nice white sand beaches, a few splash pads and the mastic Oasis Lagoon pool. There were other parts that were extra fare such as the adults only Hideaway Beach and the big waterpark.

LT split away and did a snorkeling excursion while the four of us hit the pool a bit. It is known as the largest freshwater cool in the Caribbean and it was nice being in it so early without it being super crowded. We explored around it for a bit. However, tt didn't take long before the kid and I also ventured from the pool to check out the splash pads. We first hit Captain Jill's Galleon which was right by the docks. This area was a pirate ship with some small 'water canons' and some small slides. We played here for a bit and then went up the path to Splashaway Bay. This was a serious splash pad with multiple dumping bucks and water everywhere. There was also a collection of decent sized water slides and the 5 year old loved.

After playing there a while, we checked back in with the family at the Oasis Pool about 10 and then the two of us went out again to explore the island a bit. We wanted to check out the beaches and first found ourselves at Harbor Beach. Cool location but no waves! We walked through the CocoCay Island Market and checked out Chill Island Beach. Still a cool area but no waves and a lot of people. We walked up the beach for a bit before cutting back up to the Oasis Pool again. The kid was getting tired so she rode on my back for the last part.

We hit the Oasis Pool which was now pretty crowded but still fun. We shuffled up to the swim up bar for some drinks and enjoyed the water. About 11:30, we started to get hungry so we went over to Skipper's Grill for lunch. It along with Chill Grill and Snack Shack were the 'complementary' options on the island. The food was decent with a few different sandwiches, burgers, fries, hot dogs, fruit, etc as options.

By 12:30 we were back at our loungers and tried to convince the kid to rest and take a snooze. She laid a bit but it didn't last long and we were back in the pool. We swam for about an hour before we got out to chill a bit and rest some more. About 10 minutes after we did, the entire pool was evacuated because of a kid having an 'accident' in it. That pretty much did it for us in the Oasis Lagoon. LT and my mom split and went back to the ship. We packed up and went to Splashaway Bay to enjoy the water slides again.

About 2:45 we headed back to the Freedom where we cleaned up and rested in our cabin. A drink run was made and we just relaxed until dinner at 5:00pm in the main dining room. It was Caribbean night! After dinner, we hit the 7:00pm evening show in the Royal Theater called Once Upon a Time with mom. Amazing performers but we were hopeful that our kid would recognize the fair tails and the songs a bit more. However, you also have to enjoy the sheer talent on display!

We headed back to the room and finished packing in order to set out our suitcases by 10:00pm for the porters to pick up. Lights were out by 9:00pm though I heavily considered going out to enjoy a few of the later evening shows, I was tired!
